Now that you are a Hawk;

Once you have followed the steps on the previous page "Becoming a Hawk" you will receive a letter of welcome to the group, that is if you were recomended. THE DRAKE must have your e-mail address in order to do this so be sure to write (go to forum below). Your name will then be added to the list below. There are no flags that you must adopt but members are enouraged to add [HWK] in front of their name. None of this is mandatory currently. You can even stay in any Deathmatch clans to which you currently belong. The Hawks simply have a shared interest in historical battles and membership means meeting up with each other at the server or on MSN to fight battles, share our latest creations with each other and contribute to our battle community.

The Hawks' Code of Conduct

The rules are simple, be civilised. Like was discussed on the Home Page, we are not bickering deathmatch players. We merely love the spectacle of huge battles, win or lose, (preferably win of course). Either way, a "Good Luck" usually preceeds every engagement followed by a "Good Game", no matter how humiliating the loss.

Also, as these are historical battles set in realistic landscapes which includes buildings, the possibility of mis-using certain structures and up-grades exhists in many of our older battles. Discuss these things before playing. Battles where up-grades and building are allowed will have either signs on the field or instructions to do so in the write up. Make sure this is clear before starting a battle to make play fun and realistic.

Lastly, stay active or at least inform THE DRAKE of your status if you will be away for awhile. Hawks are a busy group of people 1) writing at the Forum 2) creating new historical battles 3) sharing information 4) meeting on the field of battle Wednesdays and Saturdays  5) writing THE DRAKE about activities 6) Spreading the word about us at other sites 7) accepting challenges from prospective members and cultivating quality Hawks etc etc. At the very least they meet other Hawks on the fields of glory. A member who is seen to do NONE of this is soon dropped.
